What Is Kimberley SEssions?

Kimberley Fraser, born and brought up in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, has somehow captured the elusive magic of traditional Cape Breton Scottish fiddle music, broken it into easily understood pieces, and presented them to the world online in a way that only an excellent teacher could. Trained at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, and steeped from birth in the traditional music of her homeland her course is the next best thing to studying fiddle in Cape Breton.

Kimberley is one of Cape Breton’s most sought after instructor’s of Cape Breton fiddle and piano. Her reputation as a teacher has brought her to conduct workshops at many camps and festivals, including Alasdair Fraser’s Valley of the Moon Fiddle Camp, the Swannanoa Gathering in Asheville, North Carolina, and The American Festival of Fiddle Tunes in Port Townsend, Washington to name a few.  Kimberley has embraced the positive teaching potential of the internet and is pleased to be able to share her talents and techniques with others and to bring the sweet sounds of the Cape Breton fiddle to the far corners of the world.
