Sample Lesson

The sample lesson provides a preview of what you get by signing up with Kimberley Sessions. It represents a typical lesson that you would find once you have created an account and purchased a membership.

Within the regular lessons, one tune is typically divided into two lessons. With the first lesson we learn the tune and focus on the bowing elements specific to that tune so that we can begin to develop a strong framework. Typically there will be rhythmic and bowing exercises provided that help in this process. In the second lesson we begin to incorporate more fingering embellishments. Again, with this there will be some exercises that are specific to the embellishment in question, but relevant to the tune. In this manner, you will gain a good balance between tune and technique.
